dream big, little one: Taz’s nursery reveal

this is our first official room reveal in our new home and i’m SO excited to show you Taz’s nursery! this is also my first blog post since giving birth and i can’t wait to share our little guy’s birth story + birth photos in a dedicated post soon! we took these nursery photos while i was still pregnant {week 38} and i’m so glad we did as a special last memory before he joined our family. i know we will have a ton of photos with him in his nursery now that he’s actually here, so it was fun to commemorate this way!

when we first found out we were having a boy at the beginning of my second trimester, i hopped onto Pinterest to start putting together a moodboard and finding a direction for the design. one thing both Robbie and i knew from the start was that we didn’t want to go with the cliche little boy themes of sports, trucks, animals, etc. nothing wrong with those at all, we just knew, like his name, that we wanted to do something a little different! :) as i searched, i came across a few star-themed nurseries that i liked and the more Robbie and i talked about it, the more we wanted his nursery to reflect the Team Tripp attributes we hope to instill in him: dream big always, never settle, foster creativity & imagination, and reach for the stars! that’s how we’ve always lived our lives and that’s how we want to raise Taz as well.

Pottery Barn Kids was so generous to gift almost all the pieces you see in the nursery, and i added a few decor pieces and prints from elsewhere to really add our own flavor and pull it all together. we love how the nursery turned out! it’s so serene in that room; there was a special vibe in there before he even joined our family. in the last few weeks of my pregnancy, Robbie and i would just go into his room and read him books while he was still in my tummy… and i would cry every time! and now when i’m nursing him in the dead of night, i can’t help but think about all the dreams he will chase and the goals he will accomplish in his life, whatever they may be. he’s our special little star and we can’t wait to watch him grow!

the blue paint on his wall is called “Baby Blue Eyes” by Sherwin Williams! one of my very favorite pieces in his room is the custom name sign from The Modern Mill. it’s such a fun and cute way to add some personality and customize the room. i also love his mobile {the blue i used for the stars is “Capri”}! Etsy has been a really fun place for me to find small shops that make the best baby items {like his custom name swaddle + hat!}. we also love supporting independent artists who offer one-of-a-kind pieces.

below i’m linking every single item you see in the nursery, but let me know if you have any questions about it! keep scrolling to see all the photos! xx

Such a cute space!!! And I love his name!!! As a boy mom of 2, and grandma of 4 boys, there will be days when you think you’re saying nothing but his name and “no”!
I can’t wait to see the rest of your house!

Now for an off the wall question for today: what do you use on your lashes? Are they falsies or extensions? They always look so pretty! (As does the rest of you)!

Congratulations to you and Robbie on your new addition!!
