wardrobe transitioning.

robbie & i have been traveling non-stop for the past three weeks, both for work & for pleasure, so it feels so good to finally be home! cooler weather is finally setting in. fall is my very favorite season in utah and as of tomorrow we are officially saying buh-bye to summer!

we are also at that point in the season where the mornings and evenings are chilly, but the mid-afternoons are still pretty warm. there’s nothing worse than sweating your way through an afternoon in the office or while running errands midday. solution?

layering summer pieces.

this dress i’m wearing is the infamous swing dress of the summer that basically every women bought {rightfully so}. during these days where the temperature seems to fluctuate twenty degrees from when i first get dressed in the morning, i love to add a light layer over something with short sleeves. that way, midday i have no problem taking it off. {i’m absolutely loving this midi cardigan trend; it’s the perfect dimensional layering piece for dresses AND jeans.} lastly, i added a pair of booties for a more seasonal look.

any uncomfortably hot afternoon is avoided, while still being on trend with the season! have a great monday! xx
